Accessible under the BFSG

The German Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) requires many companies to make their websites and online shops accessible. We assess what your site needs – and implement it.

The Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG), Germany's Accessibility Improvement Act, has been in force since June 2025. It primarily affects companies that sell products or services to consumers online – above all online shops, but also websites with booking or ordering functions. Anyone covered by the act must design their digital offerings so that they can also be used by people with visual, hearing, or motor impairments.

Accessibility is more than a compliance exercise: an accessible website is easier for all visitors to use, is better understood by search engines, and reaches customer groups that would otherwise bounce. The investment pays off even if you are not legally obliged at all.
